PLANTS – PLANTING METHODS

The main aim of any Horticulturist is to grow maximum number of plants in any given area so that maximum returns are received. Some ten years ago no specific rule was followed. All that was kept in mind was to make it look beautiful. Planting was done in rows but no specific distances between the rows of the plants and the plant distance was maintained in a specific order.

 

Over the tears and with Hybrid as well as modified fruit plant available a scientific planting scheme was arrived at.

 

 

If you are planning to start a new Fruit Orchard, it is desired that you plant the trees in a scientific manner. The horticulturists fallow two systems

The "Square/rectangular" or the”Hexagon" system. We give below a chart showing the number of plants and the distances in feet/meter:
